CMPD: 3 arrested in connection to 14 store robberies

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives arrested three men in connection to a series of cellphone store robberies and gaming businesses throughout the Charlotte area.

Police arrested Travis Gill, Luquese Black and Kenneth Black for their involvement in 14 cases in Charlotte, Pineville and Concord from Aug. 7 to 26.

Concord police said they caught the three men attempting to rob the Radio Shack on Concord Mills Boulevard Wednesday.

Luquese Black transported to an area hospital after he was injured while fleeing from the officers during the robbery.

Police said he will be officially charged upon his release from the hospital.

Officials said this is an ongoing investigation and more charges are pending.
