CMPD to announce new campaign, crime numbers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Wednesday morning, police in Charlotte will announce a new campaign to combat car break-ins.

They will also give up-to-date numbers on crime in your neighborhood.

Earlier this year, police said overall crime is down in Charlotte compared to last year.

Officers also highlighted an effort to protect shoppers in north Charlotte from larceny.
