Gas station clerk robbed at knifepoint overnight, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the man they said robbed a gas station clerk at knifepoint early Thursday morning in northeast Charlotte.

Officers were called to the Exxon station on Pavilion Boulevard around 2 a.m.

Witnesses said the suspect was able to steal cash and took off in a white SUV.

The clerk was not hurt.

Police have not been able to provide a description on the suspect.
