CMPD looking for 2 after man shot in the legs during home invasion

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for two men after they said someone was hospitalized following an attempted robbery and home invasion early Tuesday morning in east Charlotte.

Officers said two people forced their way into the home on Eastway Drive, near Dunlavin Way, just before 3 a.m.

MEDIC told Channel 9 that they rushed a man to Carolinas Medical Center after he was shot in both legs while inside a bedroom of the home.

Police had crime tape up around the house as they gathered evidence spoke with a woman inside the house.

The victim is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made and police have not released any suspect information.

They did tell Channel 9 that they searched for a suspect vehicle but could not find it.
