CMPD: Man says he was robbed, pistol-whipped near UNCC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews responding to a shots fired call reported near the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus Friday afternoon.
 
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on University Terrace Drive, which is right next to the university, around 1:45 p.m.
 
Police said they found a man who said he had been robbed and pistol-whipped. However, they said no one was shot.
