CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD detectives are searching for a man connected to multiple attempted robberies over a span of 30 minutes Friday night.
Officers said in each case, he handed victims a note demanding money, but did not get any.

The following businesses were robbed:
- At about 6:14 p.m.: Family Dollar, 7308 East Independence Blvd.
- At about 6:17 p.m.: Super G Mart, 7323 East Independence Blvd.
- At about 6:21 p.m.: CVS, 2325 Village Lake Dr.
- At about 6:45 p.m.: Queen Soul Food, 7308 East Independence Blvd.
The suspect is a black man, who wore a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
The investigation is ongoing.
