CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department detectives charged two men with murder in the homicide of Roy Bothea Jr., which happened on April 16, 2013, on Marlowe Avenue.
The victim and suspects knew one another and this was not a random act of violence, detectives said.
Anthony Makuson, 25, and Montez Davis, 29, were also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree breaking and entering and second-degree kidnapping.
They are being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
