CMS resource officer injured trying to control student

CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools resource officer was injured in an incident at Garinger High School Wednesday morning.

While trying to control a student, the officer backed up and put his hand through a window, cutting his hand.

CMS says that he is going to be transported for further treatment.

The student was not injured. No information was provided about if the student was arrested or what the altercation was about.
