Company plans to create 31 jobs in Mecklenburg County

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A hot melt adhesives manufacturer is planning a new facility in Mecklenburg County, Gov. Bev Perdue said on Wednesday.

Beardow Adams Inc. plans to create 31 jobs and invest more than $5.1 million over the next five years in Charlotte, according to Perdue.

Salaries will vary by job function, but the average annual wage for the new jobs will be $52,984, plus benefits.  The Mecklenburg County average annual wage is $51,792.

Beardow Adams, headquartered in Milton Keynes, U.K., produces hot melt adhesives that are sold throughout the world.
