Concord leaders approve residential development plan

CONCORD, N.C. — We want to clear up some confusion about a development we reported on Thursday night.

The Concord City Council approved a plan for “Cannon Run," which would create nearly 700 houses, town homes and apartments along Odell School Road at Route 73.

While that was correct, we showed video of another planned development nearby, a development at Poplar Tent and Harris roads that has drawn a lot of pushback.

The planning and zoning board denied that 400-home plan, putting off the final decision by the City Council on that development sometime in the future.
