Concord officials to close streets to repair sewer lines

CONCORD, N.C. — Drivers in Concord will run into several street closures throughout the city in Sept. as crews repair sewer lines, our partners at the Independent Tribune report.

Neighbors may temporarily notice a smell coming from the drains, but shouldn't be concerned.

The city is rehabilitating nearly 13,000 linear feet of sewer this year at a cost of approximately $456,700, the Independent Tribune reports.

Some streets affected include Le Phillip Court Northeast, Corban Avenue Southwest, Virginia Street Southeast, Courtney Street Southeast, Honeycutt Drive Southeast, Yorktown Street Northwest and Cabarrus Avenue East.
