• County commissioners expected to discuss new county manager

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - County commissioners are expected to discuss Tuesday exactly how they will pick a new county manager.
Commissioners could take a few approaches. First, the decision could be made by commissioners themselves.
Also, they may also set up a subcommittee to be part of a selection process, although it's not clear who would be on that committee.
Commissioners may also look at potential search firms to help with the selection process.
County manager Harry Jones was fired early last month.
The process to find a new county manager is expected to take all summer. The announcement of a replacement is expected in mid-October.
