YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Lisa Meadows, executive director of the York County Convention Center, has resigned after she was arrested earlier this month for stealing more than $350 worth of tanning lotion.

Meadows, who ended her five-year term as executive director, had originally been suspended without pay.
She submitted her formal letter of resignation Thursday evening to Andrea Cooper, board chairwoman for the county convention and visitors bureau.
Assistant director Auvis Cole will fill in as interim director until further notice, according to Cooper.
