ROCK HILL, S.C. — A South Carolina couple didn’t want their flowers to go to waste after Hurricane Matthew forced them to postpone their wedding, so they decided to brighten up some patients’ lives.
Andrew Matuskowitz and his fiancée Elizabeth Gilbert chose to bring their pre-ordered wedding flowers to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The staff took the flowers, collected vases and made bouquets for the patients.
The flowers were delivered to patients that had to be transferred from coastal-area hospitals, new mothers and patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Watch as a patient and her husband Facetime with the couple to thank them.
