Crash involving tractor-trailer, U-Haul shuts down I-85 in Kannapolis

A 3-vehicle crash, involving a tractor-trailer, a U-Haul truck and another car has shut down Interstate 85 southbound in Kannapolis.

Chopper 9 flew over the scene. The U-Haul was pulling another car when it was involved in the crash.

Traffic was backed up for 10 miles behind the crash.

The interstate was expected to be shut down until 5:30 p.m.
