CHARLOTTE, N.C. - One person has life-threatening injuries after a crash on Interstate 85.
The crash, which involved a motorcycle, happened in the southbound lanes between the Sugar Creek Road and Graham Street exits shortly after 7 a.m. MEDIC rushed the patient to Carolinas Medical Center-Main.
The two left lanes of I-85 South were blocked for about 45 minutes. They reopened at about 8 a.m., but drivers experienced residual delays for a short time after.
A crash on inbound Brookshire Boulevard near I-85 also caused delays for a short time during rush hour. Brookshire Boulevard was blocked for about a half hour at Honeywood Avenue. The road reopened at about 7:45 a.m.
MEDIC said no one was hurt in that crash.
