CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a fatal wreck involving one vehicle Thursday night in Charlotte on Brookshire Boulevard at Centre Street, officials said.
The driver, Regina Paulette Strange, was driving a Suzuki Forenza sedan that ran off the roadway and struck a large pole, police said.
Strange died at the scene, police said.
Outbound lanes were shutdown after the wreck that happened just after 7 p.m.
The road reopened at about 10:10 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
