Crews working on water line repair at Huntersville intersection

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A busy Huntersville intersection is about to get even more backed up. A water line leak there needs to be fixed.

On Monday, Eyewitness News saw crews getting the area ready. Starting Wednesday, Eyewitness News was told, only one lane will be open on Reese Boulevard in each direction and several lanes will be shut down east and westbound on Gilead Road.

"It will definitely back up. People will have to find different routes to come through," driver Kelly Bowland said.

The intersection is near several shopping centers and Presbyterian Hospital. Officials said the hospital’s water source won't be affected.
