A woman told police that Lynch pulled down his jogging pants and exposed himself to her in October at a medical facility on South New Hope Road, according to a criminal summons.

The SBI investigated and gave its report the Gaston County district attorney, who decided to charge Lynch with misdemeanor indecent exposure.

Lynch left his job as an officer in the Gaston County Police Department in October 2014 to become an investigator in the Dallas Police Department, eventually becoming second in command.

His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 13.
