Dangerous side effects people might not know about daily medications

Officials say that nearly one in five people overuse medication, such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

There are dangerous side effects people might not be aware of with medications people use daily.

Boston University's School of Health found 15 percent of adults that use Advil, Aleve and Celebrex often take more than the recommended doses, per week.

Several serious side effects include gastrointestinal bleeding and sometimes heart attacks.

Researchers found those who take more than recommended have a combination of medical factors, including chronic pain and a poor physical state.

Along with exceeding the recommended doses, researchers found many people took two different anti-inflammatories at once or didn’t wait long enough before taking another dose.
