"It was a no-brainer to go down last night. Glad I didn't miss it. Would have been kicking myself," fan Cole Flinttner said.

Davidson College fan Gordon Clark also went to the game, but he was a little too close to the action. He showed Channel 9 his hand, which was turning  black and blue. Clark said he was near the 1st base line when a foul ball came flying at him.

"The last thing I was remember was sticking my hand out. It hit my right here and bounced off and hit a guy five rows down in the head," Clark said.

After the game, Clark said he was given a baseball.

Flintter said there's a lot of momentum in town to rally for local stars.

"You do have the Warriors as the second home to Davidson, and you always have the basketball team that has success. Its created such buzz in town,” Flintter said.

Flittner said the wins have been great for the town.

"Awesome for Davidson, the college, the town, the whole Lake Norman area. Just kind of unbelievable,” Flittner said.

Alumni weekend is also coming up and local businesses expect downtown to be packed with fans this weekend to watch the games.
