CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A daycare van with children on board flipped Tuesday afternoon when it collided with another vehicle in east Charlotte, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officials said officers responded to a two-vehicle wreck at 2:07 p.m. at North Sharon Amity and Shamrock Drive.
Six children and the driver of the van have been treated for minor injuries and transported to area hospitals.
Channel 9 has been told by the operator of the daycare center that all of the children will be released soon, while the driver will remain in the hospital a little longer.
Sharon Amity is currently shut down at Shamrock Drive in both directions, according to authorities.
