DENVER, N.C. — Deputies arrested a woman who they said held up a bank Tuesday morning in Lincoln County.
Officials responded around 9:30 a.m. to the People's Bank on South NC-16 Business in Denver after reports of a woman robbing the bank.

They said 56-year-old Diana Michelle Weeden showed a note saying she had a gun and demanded money. No gun was ever seen.
Investigators said Weeden ran from the bank.
Deputies said they found her around 10 a.m. near a car behind a nearby Food Lion. They said they recovered $2,600.
Weeden was arrested and charged with one felony count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
