ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A homicide investigation is underway after shots were fired Sunday morning at the Grant Street Apartments in East Spencer, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.
Officers with the East Spencer Police Department, Spencer Police Department and Rowan County Sheriff's Office responded to the shots fired call just before before 9:30 a.m. on Weant Street off South Long Street.
Authorities found one male victim. The victim's name hasn't been released.
It's not clear if any arrests have been made.
The East Spencer Police Department is the lead agency in the case.
