Deputies seize guns, pills, cash during major bust in Chesterfield Co.

PATRICK, S.C. — Chesterfield County sheriff’s deputies arrested 21 people during a major drug bust in the small town of Patrick.

Authorities seized 31 guns, thousands of dollars in pills and $5,700 in cash Tuesday night from a home on BBB Circle.

Deputies said the prescription pills were all labeled and priced to sell.

"He was very organized. Everything was listed on the bottle, and how much they were, so he was very organized. He had books of who had bought from him and how much they owed him," Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks said.

Deputies arrested Ken Lewis, Cindy Blakeney, Tony Hall and Melissa Eason inside the home. They said Lewis likely ran the drug operation for several months.

While deputies were processing evidence inside the home, some drug customers started pulling up and approaching the home. Deputies said Lewis told them if they hung out at the home long enough, the deputies would be able fill up the jail and so that's what they did.

Deputies hid their vehicles and just waited for buyers to show up. They ended up arresting 17 suspected drug buyers.

Neighbor Janie Huntley watched from across the road and even felt sorry for one of the suspects.

"He pulled up over here in a green pick up, and poor little fella, just got out of his truck and I think they got him," Huntley said.

The sheriff said out of the 31 guns found inside the house, only one had been reported stolen. He said the rest appear to have been traded for painkillers and anti-depressants.
