ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C.,None - Deputies in Alexander County think children were living in a home where meth was being manufactured, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office said.

Two people were arrested when deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Elaine Drive. Bradley Laxton, 33, and Shannon Laxton, 40, were charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A cleanup crew was brought in from Spartanburg, S.C., to dismantle and clean up the suspected lab.

Deputies said they think that children were living in the home but were not present when the search warrant was executed.
