CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A developer is building a new hotel in Dilworth.
Channel 9 obtained a rendering from the Catellus group.
The hotel will be six stories with 127 rooms.
It's still in the development phase now but Catellus said the hotel will have a penthouse restaurant with skyline views of uptown.
Charlotte's seen a huge boom in demand for hotels recently fueled partly by the Panthers' Super Bowl run this winter.
The Charlotte Regional Visitor Authority said in January Charlotte was first in the nation for room rate and revenue growth.
Charlotte beat out major cities like New York for growth.
