CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This Dilworth restaurant has closed after two years.
Babalu Tapas & Tacos closed last week in advance of Hurricane Florence — and has decided not to reopen, the company said Tuesday.

That 5,200-square-foot restaurant opened at 1511 East Blvd. in June 2016. Management said at the time that Babalu had signed a long-term lease for the space, formerly home to Cantina 1511.
Earlier this year, Babalu closed its doors for nearly two weeks before reopening. It cited unexpected repairs, the need to hire new team members and retraining as the reason behind that decision.
