Documents reveal troubled past of vet shot in Rock Hill home

Documents uncovered by Channel 9 revealed a much different picture in the case of a disabled war veteran, robbed and shot inside his home in Rock Hill.
 
Kaylan Whiteside is one of three suspects accused of trying to kill her grandfather Wayne Whiteside.

But documents showed Wayne Whiteside was accused of attacking Kaylan Whiteside when she was 12 years old.
 
He pleaded guilty in 2005 to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and he was sentenced to five years of probation.
 
Kaylan Whiteside and two other men were charged with attempted murder and are accused of breaking into Wayne Whiteside's home Saturday night, robbing him and shooting him.

Wolfgang Liewald appeared in court Thursday facing burglary and attempted murder charges.
