CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Communities around Charlotte celebrated the Festival of Lights on Tuesday night at SouthPark Mall.
Dozens gathered for a menorah lighting on the first night of Hanukkah.
The Chabad of Charlotte hosted the event.
"This is a holiday that’s celebrated all over the world,” Rabbi Yossi Groner said. “We’re very happy that we were able to do it in Charlotte and there will be many celebrations starting tonight."
