HICKORY, S.C. - Police said a driver was so high on prescription drugs that he did not know he had hit and killed a motorcycle rider.
The Hickory Daily Record reports that Henry
Carroll, Jr. is now charged with felony death by vehicle.
Police said Carroll crossed the center line on 16th street in Hickory nearly two weeks ago, then hit and killed Dennis Dorrier.
Carroll apologized and admitted to taking prescription medicine the night of the crash, but said it shouldn't have affected him.
