SOUTH CAROLINA - According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, one person died after being ejected from his motorcycle Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened on SC 901 near Sturgis Farm Road, just two-tenths of a mile south of Rock Hill.
Troopers said the victim ran off the right side of the road, struck a curb, road sign and then tree. He was not wearing a helmet.
Authorities identified the victim as Roger Blankenship, 48, of Kannapolis, North Carolina. He died on the scene.
