ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — One lane of Interstate 85 was blocked for nearly three hours early Thursday morning after a UPS tractor-trailer overturned.
State troopers told Channel 9 that the trailer flipped around 3:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85, near Old Beaty Ford Road in Rowan County.
The driver was not hurt but troopers said they had to block a lane while they unloaded the trailer in order to upright it, which is why clean up took several hours.
While crews worked to clear up the road, traffic was directed off the interstate at exit 63 onto Lane Street.
Troopers are still investigating what caused the wreck.
