CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Duke Energy and county officials plan to test sirens located around both the Catawba Nuclear Station and McGuire Nuclear Station on Wednesday around 11:50 a.m.
By testing the sirens, state and county officials along with Duke Energy want to ensure that the sirens are operating properly.
The siren test is performed once each quarter and county emergency officials are responsible for sounding the sirens.
