CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cardinal Innovations will meet for its first official board meeting Saturday in Winston-Salem.
The board oversees the state's largest Medicaid program.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services kicked out the old board two months ago.
The department expects to have a corrective action plan.
Action 9 has been investigating Cardinal Innovations for months.
Last year, the agency reportedly spent millions on lavish parties and huge severance packages.
State officials have been working with interim leadership to fix issues.
