Emergency responders investigate suspicious package at Mooresville hotel

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A section of a Mooresville hotel was evacuated Sunday night while officials investigated a suspicious package.

Mooresville police confirmed a bomb threat after a suspicious package was called in at the Hampton Inn on Gallery Center Drive.

The bomb squad was called to the scene.

Police have allowed people back into the hotel and reopened the roads.

The package is still being investigated.

Officials haven’t said how the package arrived at the hotel.

No other information was released.
