CHARLOTTE, N.C. - On Saturday, family and friends will remember a Charlotte teen who would have turned 17 this week.
Jasmine Thar, who was an Ardrey Kell student, was killed last December when she was visiting relatives in Chadbourn.
The accused shooter hasn't been charged because he said the gun went off accidentally, but Thar's family wants him charged with murder.
Thar's family is holding a vigil Saturday. Her 17th birthday would have been Wednesday.
The vigil is to take place at her
gravesite in Weddington at 4:30 p.m.
