Family of man killed at Charlotte Motor Speedway sues track

CONCORD, N.C. — Family members of a man killed in a motorcycle wreck at Charlotte Motor Speedway are now suing the speedway.

Thomas Hollingsworth and Alan Mockus crashed their bikes during a Vietnam Veteran's homecoming event two years ago at the track.

Hollingsworth's family said event organizers -- including the speedway -- should not have allowed veterans to ride their motorcycles on the track, especially since many of them had been drinking.
