MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - A South Carolina minor league baseball team has to change its marketing campaign because fans say it's too racy.
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans came up with a new campaign to bring more fans to their games. The theme was 'Birds' and the slogan was ‘un-flocking believable.’
Dozens of people called the team to complain that the slogan was inappropriate.
"If the community feels it's inappropriate, whether that's a big percentage or a small, it's in our best interest to do what's right for the community," said Andy Milovich, the team’s General Manager.
Billboards will now have to be changed and about 400,000 pocket schedules need to be thrown out.
