CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Community leaders in west Charlotte are hosting the Taste of FreeMore festival Saturday in hopes of drawing more businesses to the area.
The festival begins at 4 p.m. Saturday around Freedom Drive and Morehead Street.
Police said that they've seen tremendous growth in the Wesley Heights neighborhood in the past five to eight years.
Organizers want to use the festival to help showcase the neighborhood.
