• Fire breaks out at Concord home


    CONCORD, N.C. - Firefighters battled flames at a home in Concord on Monday afternoon.

    Officials with the Concord Fire Department said the fire broke out at a home on Archibald Road around 4:30 p.m.  Video from Chopper 9 Skyzoom showed heavy smoke coming from the home.

    According to officials, one person was living in the home and was able to get away without injury.

    Officials said the flames caused major damage to the house.

    The Cabarrus County Fire Marshal's office is investigating the blaze. Officials have reported that the home most likely will be a total loss.
