CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It took more than two dozen firefighters to knock out a fire at a south Charlotte movie theater Friday morning.
Fire crews were called to the AMC Carolina Pavilion on South Boulevard around 10 a.m. after a report of a fire on the roof of the building.
Fire investigators determined that the fire was a result of an electrical issue with a neon sign.
The fire caused about $10,000 in damage.
No one was hurt.
Officials told Channel 9 that they are working with fire inspectors to determine if the theater can open for business Friday.
