Firefighters save dog from trailer fire in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. — Firefighters had to brave frigid conditions while battling a trailer fire in Gastonia late Tuesday night.

The home caught fire on Comer Avenue just after 10 p.m. When they arrived, firefighters from Crowders Mountain Fire & Rescue and Union Road Volunteer Fire Department were confronted with flames and smoke pouring from the trailer.

Nobody was hurt and firefighters were able to save a dog from the blaze.

The Gaston County Fire Investigations Task Force is investigating the cause of the fire.
