Emergency crews responded to Abe-Mor Inc. on West 24th Street in north Charlotte Wednesday afternoon after reports of a sulfuric acid spill.
The hazmat situation was contained to the structure and there were no environmental hazards, fire officials said. Crews contained the situation in 1 hour and deemed the building the safe.
Abe-Mor makes soaps, waxes and other cleaners for car and truck washes.
No one was injured.
A neighboring business, Intercare Health Services, was evacuated after the spill.
