Family of 4 escapes Huntersville house fire

A family of four and their cat escaped a house fire Saturday afternoon on McGinnis Lane in Huntersville, fire department officials said.

The fire started outside and made its way up to the attic before firefighters extinguished the blaze, officials said.

There were no injuries and four people were displaced.

The fire is under investigation.
