Family of 7 displaced after south Charlotte house fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte firefighters responded to the scene of a house fire in south Charlotte Monday morning.

Firefighters said flames and smoke were visible at the home on Ryder Avenue when they arrived.

Seven people, five children and two adults, were inside the home when the fire broke out in the laundry room.

Firefighters said the fire was mostly contained to the laundry room.

The family has been displaced due to the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire.
