Flight headed to Charlotte forced to make emergency landing in Florida

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — People on a flight to Charlotte from Jamaica are back home after an emergency landing Tuesday night.

US Airways flight 1232 took off from Montego Bay, Jamaica and was diverted to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Tuesday afternoon.

The flight finally landed in Charlotte around 11:30 p.m.

Channel 9 was told the pilots noticed a hydraulic issue that caused problems maneuvering the plane.

No one on board was hurt.
