BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — The Forest Service said the massive wildfire burning in the Linville Gorge is 90 percent contained.
The Table Rock wildfire has burned nearly 2,600 acres.
Firefighters the recent rain has helped them get the upper hand.
The Linville Gorge reopened Monday in time for the first day of deer rifle-hunting season.
