HICKORY, N.C. - A former Hickory police officer accused of slamming a woman to the ground was supposed to make his first court appearance Friday.
Instead, a judge moved Robery George's new court date to June 2.
Investigators said George attacked Chelsea Doolittle during a fight about how she parked her car.
He is charged with assault.
The police department fired him after the accusations in January.
Doolittle is charged with resisting arrest.
