Fort Mill pharmacy robbed of $73,000 in pills, authorities say

FORT MILL, S..C. — A Concord man is in jail for robbing a Fort Mill Walgreens pharmacy Wednesday of 1,316 pills worth more than $73,000, authorities said.

Zachery Junker went into the store about 8 p.m., told an employee he had a weapon and demanded OxyContin and oxycodone tablets.

The employee gave him the pills, and he drove away in what appeared to be a BMW.

Fort Mill detectives identified Junker and, with the assistance of the Concord Police Department, took him into custody.

He was arrested on an armed robbery charge and is awaiting extradition from the Cabarrus County Jail to South Carolina.
